Mobile future of iGaming

Mobile Gambling on the Rise!

The use of mobile devices for gambling had been on the rise long before the pandemic erupted onto the world stage in 2020.  Covid-19 and the ensuing lockdowns meant that millions of people around the world had much more time on their hands than usual and regular distractions like the sporting calendar were also completely disrupted.

At the same time, the trend towards players using their mobile devices as the preferred platform for iGaming accelerated. It's been estimated that 50% of bets made in 2019 were made on mobile devices and that number has continued to grow in 2020.  This rise due to technological innovation was augmented by regulatory liberalization in a
number of territories. Many countries are preparing to broaden the availability of online casinos as well.

The global mobile gambling market is highly competitive because of rapid advances in technology, and frequent changes in consumer preferences. Google's Flutter technology is approved for
distribution on the Apple store for iPhones, and Google Play for Android devices.

In response to the growing need from the market, Finnplay, the leading iGaming platform provider from the Nordics launched a new mobile app it had developed for Mexican operator Playdoit on August 11th, 2021. The platform provider delivered a sleek, multi-functional app that optimises the mobile gambling experience.

Going forward, the supplier sees strong demand for increased mobile functionality and availability across all markets.  As regulation and technical limitations ease, the accessibility and utility of the mobile application increases and the platform will become more and more a part of the standard requirement for operators everywhere.
