2022:  SOLID DELIVERY AND INCREASED FOCUS

2022 was a year in which Finnplay stabilised its foundation and continued its strong growth path.  The company remained focused on its core business in regulated markets while preparing for further expansion into new territories. 

Externally, Finnplay has added an impressive number of new suppliers, strategic partnerships and signed up new operators in its key markets.  

Internally the team expanded while team structures were tightened and reorganised to create more efficiency in service and delivery.  The company also grew stronger connections within the Entain Group network to which it belongs, offering powerful resources for both people and processes.

Commercial success and recognition

Finnplay earned recognition from corporate credit agency Asiakastieto with its Platinum Award for maintaining a top tier AAA credit rating for 5 consecutive years.  Finnplay was also honored to be nominated by EGR Nordics for the upcoming Casino Platform Supplier award, a trophy it won most recently in 2021.

During the past year, Finnplay has continued to add new brands to the platform, including Mexican operator, TeamMexico (https://www.teammexico.mx), Dutch operator, Goldrun Casino (https://www.goldruncasino.nl), and more.

The company also signed several new Dutch platform deals and a new up-and-coming Swedish operator – all of which are scheduled to be live in 2023. 

Growing provider network

Integrations are a key component of Finnplay’s business.  Finnplay adds on average two new providers with every sprint and in the past year many leading providers have been added, including Push Gaming, Swintt, Parlaybay, Inspired, Air Dice, Spearhead, Eurasian Gaming, Spinoro, Amatic, Apple Pay, iDeal and more.  Also, third-party services are continually added to the platform including just in the past year; Symplify and OptiMove for CRM, Frosmo and Jada Gaming (AI tools), Acuris and CDDN (KYC), IP security tools like dBip and plenty more.

Technology

The development team achieved a steady process of platform improvements, adding important new features and upgrades during the year, including:
  • A new monitoring system to unify the monitoring across all environments, including development, stage, and production.  
  • A new logging system, connected with all the environments to deliver convenience to all support teams and developers for checking logs, with easy-to-control access management.
  • The Mobile App application was productized in the summer of 2022 and Finnplay’s own development version was published for both iOS and Android platforms making it much easier to deliver the app for future clients.
  • For the Dutch market, the KSA data model 1.1 was implemented and pushed to all Dutch operator sites. 
  • The Backoffice was updated and refreshed to better match Finnplay’s brand aesthetic 
  • A new system architecture design was completed and is currently under implementation.
  • Successful migration of a new operator to the Google Cloud Platform

Conclusion

Once again, the Finnplay team has succeeded in delivering solid growth with a clear focus on its core strengths.  The operators on the platform also continue to enjoy impressive commercial success, backed by Finnplay’s technology and support team.  Having earned its reputation as a top-tier platform provider to the industry, Finnplay goes into 2023 with plans to continue its path of steady and deliberate growth while maintaining its top priorities of personal service and flexibility.  This spring, the company looks forward to expanding to a new larger office space in Helsinki’s “Silicon Valley” of Keilaniemi and welcoming many new team members to help support the continued growth.
